Soughton Hall in Flintshire is a wedding photographer’s dream. Dating back to 1720, this North Wales wedding venue boasts an opulent drawing room, stunning gardens, and even a secret garden for an intimate ceremony. We really do love it here.
And our couples agree. Since 2008, we’ve captured many beautiful weddings at Soughton Hall, resulting in some unforgettable wedding photography.

The jaw-dropping architecture
Built in 1720, Soughton Hall is a timelessly elegant location for your wedding. With an charming parlour, opulent drawing room, and a dining room fitted with carved oak paneling and double height ceilings, this Grade II listed Hall will leave you and your guests feeling like royalty.
The stunning gardens
From its sweeping driveway to its meticulously landscaped gardens, Soughton Hall takes your breath away before you’ve even stepped over the threshold. We especially love the walled secret garden – the perfect location for an intimate wedding ceremony.
The happy couple
Soughton Hall might seem grandiose and opulent, but it also offers plenty of secluded spots for shooting some truly special photos of the happy couple.
In fact, two of our most well-known photos were taken during a quiet moment at our first Soughton Hall wedding. The back of the dress photo, with the groom in the background looking on, was featured in our qualification panel with the British Institute of Professional Photography (yes, you can get a qualified professional photographer!).
As with many of our couples, we had so much fun working with Amy and Neil – I even ran my first half-marathon with her!
