Here's a lovely wedding in North Wales which will hopefully warm you up in this cold weather: I present to you, Mike and Laura's wedding at Soughton Hall!
Soughton Hall is a very special wedding venue in North Wales for us as it's there we shot our second ever wedding (our first wedding was in Portmeirion!) and it's also with a wedding at Soughton Hall that we won our first Gold Award in Documentary wedding photography (in 2008)! It's a beautiful country house with a gorgeous room upstairs for wedding ceremonies or wedding breakfast and, for larger weddings, they have a great marquee too! The drive to the house is something to be experienced!
This wedding was always going to be fun with Laura being so full of smiles and energy! The church where they got married was also really lovely and you couldn't ask for a sunnier day! It all finished with the Laura and Mike starting the party with a Gangnam Style first dance, supported by Laura's brothers!
Enough from me, here's the wedding day in Laura's words!
"We loved our engagement shoot which really made us relax behind the camera ready for our big day! - Ioan taken beautiful pictures and captured some really special moments at our wedding.
I woke up at the crack of dawn to my brother bouncing around the house so excited, which filled me with even more excitement! The house was tense but in a good way, I couldn’t eat because I felt nervous but definitely found room for a Fizz! Seeing my dads face when he seen me in my dress choked me, when I walked down the aisle to see mike waiting there it felt so right and I couldn’t wait to marry the man of my dreams!! I couldn’t stop smiling for the rest of the day, I was on cloud 9!! The best day ever!! - Laura "
And even Mike wrote a bit!
"The morning of the wedding came and i woke up early feeling a mixture of nervous and excited, a bit of breakfast and then back to the house to get my suit on making sure i looked the best i could as i knew my bride was going to look stunning in her dress. Off to church we went my 2 best men by my side standing at the altar nervously awaiting the arrival of my bride. In she walked looking absolutely stunning. The best day of my life. - Mike"
