Church Weddings

One of the most popular requests is wether or not we do Church weddings, if we have images of church weddings, etc..
The answer is: YES!

Some photographers aren't keen for all sorts of reasons but we love them all! Church of England, Church of Wales, Catholic, over the past decade we were trully blessed, being chosen to capture such precious and sacred moments for so many people. (Extra points if all the congregation sings!)

We’ve even done a wedding at a monastery, which was far less formal affair than you’d think, as the friar was so nervous since officiating a wedding was not something he did often!

We also work with the priest, vicar or celebrants to make sure that we can capture as much as possible while staying discreet, partly thanks to our SILENT cameras and also ensure that we are not a distraction.

Although it’s often the reception that gets talked about for months after the event, it is, of course, the wedding ceremony itself that is the most important part of your day. Whichever type of ceremony you choose to have, Celynnen Photography will always capture the very best from it – from the bride’s grand entrance, to the small, romantic details like the touch of a hand or a shared look.

While we have fond memories of every wedding we’ve attended, we’ll make sure that you won’t remember we were there. Your wedding is all about you, and we’ll ensure we capture it all without causing any impact at all. With years of experience, we’ve got plenty of tricks up our sleeves, including silent cameras with high quality lenses, which mean we can tuck ourselves away almost out of sight.

We hear so many horror stories of inexperienced photographers being intrusive and causing a fuss. There’s the pushy photographer who lurks so close that they appear in all your guests’ snaps; a constant click-click-click that puts everyone off and makes you nervous; assistants standing on pews to get a “wow” shot with no thought given to the couple’s experience of their own wedding. These are all massive no-no’s for Celynnen Photography. We’re so stealthy that our clients are often surprised when they go through their photos and find memories where they didn’t even know we were nearby!

Whether you’re planning a church wedding or a civil ceremony, we’ll always be discreet and courteous, while capturing those perfect shots for you to treasure. Contact us today to discuss our wedding photography packages further.

We’ll leave you with our top tip for a church wedding – get your posed group shots just after the ceremony, instead of at your reception. This way you can ensure that everyone is present and available, without the distractions of your reception venue (namely, the bar!). You’ll find these group shots go much smoother and quicker, and as soon as your guests arrive at the reception, they’ll be free to relax and enjoy themselves.
