The wedding of Emma and Gareth was a beautiful one, filled with love, smiles and lots of sunshine, and it was an absolute delight to be asked to photograph their special day. Emma and Gareth both live in Australia, but Emma is originally from North Wales, so they chose to hold their wedding here, at Trevor Hall in Llangollen.

Trevor Hall is a private-hire country manor house, so the couple had the whole place for their exclusive use all weekend. Their families and closest friends stayed at the Hall too, so the house had this special feeling of warmth and togetherness for the whole day; from sharing breakfast together in the kitchen, getting ready in the bride’s room, and relaxing later around the stately grounds. Despite the grandeur of the house itself, there was a very special intimate and private feel to the celebrations, which made the whole day a joy to photograph 😊

And we couldn’t have wished for more perfect weather! It was truly glorious, with the sun shining on the happy couple and their guests as they walked through the grounds to the beautiful chapel for the ceremony. The views across the Llangollen valley were to die for!

All in all, it was exactly the sort of relaxed, intimate, beautiful wedding that I would love to have, if I had my own wedding day all over again! My own main memory of the day was that the beautiful bride could not stop smiling, and her joy was infectious. In Emma’s own words…

“It was a magical day in a beautiful intimate setting, with North Wales putting on a glorious show for our wedding. We couldn't have been happier on the day, and were so blessed to have such fantastic support from our family, friends and suppliers which made the day super relaxed from start to finish. For us, this was a once in a lifetime occasion where we bought together our two families from the opposite sides of the world, with special memories that will last forever. We hope that they had as much fun as we did 😊 ”
