All weddings are special, but this one was special special! :)

Sarah and I go back to when I did photography for her brother Jon and his wife Jen’s wedding photography at Seiont Manor! Later she contacted me about one of our famous, confidence boosting boudoir shoots!. We struck up a great friendship, and it’s been a privilege to be there to photograph other important events through the years, such as her graduation and a newborn shoot for her nephews. It was wonderful to meet her now-husband Cuthbert for the first time too – he’s a great laugh and definitely knows how to make an impression! 😊 Cuthbert comes from the Isle of Wight, and like many of our couples, they met online!

(Get ready for some cheesy lines) Looking for love and finding the right MATCH can be daunting, but don't worry, there are PLENTY of FISH in the sea. Of course you can always Bumble around and see what Happns as you try to light up the Tinder of love..but Sarah and Cuthbert made a Christian Connections. (All great dating websites though)

Their wedding was an emotional one in the heart of the New Forest. It was a glorious sunny day, with a church ceremony followed by a fantastic party at The Balmer Lawn Hotel, Brockenhurst. It was such a heartfelt celebration for every single one of the guests, and you could really feel the warmth and love from everyone there. It was a unique and special experience for me too; although I was the official photographer, I could also join in the celebrations with my wife and son.

It’s always a privilege to be asked to photograph a wedding, but it’s an extra honour when it’s for someone you’ve grown to care for so much. Watching it all through the camera lens, I was able to capture some really special and intimate moments – my favourite being Sarah hugging her dad, with her mum looking on in tears.

"How on earth can we sum up how we felt on our wedding day in just 4 or 5 sentences?!

Ok, so I know its cheesy but it was definitely the best day of our lives so far! We were both really nervous to begin with on the day but by the end of it, we felt like it had been the best party ever. Everyone was so relaxed and having so much fun, which is exactly what we had wanted. People are still raving about it now, 4 months on.

The church ceremony was so special to us as we have such a strong faith. Ioan was awesome, capturing the natural images of us and our guests without even noticing he was doing it. We chose not to have a videographer and looking back through the photos, they tell the story of the day perfectly without the need for having it videoed as well.

The reception was one big, relaxed, fun celebration at a venue that is very special to me. Having the children running around and joining in the dance floor was great and made everyone smile.

After so much planning and organisation, it all came together and every little detail was perfect. Ioan and Jess managed to capture all of this, even some of the little things we didn't spot. I loved to be able to see Cuthbert getting ready in the morning with all the guys as that was, of course, something I was not privy to on the day.

Ioan and his family are such good friends of ours and there is no one else I would have wanted to be in charge of such an important part of our day. He was able to get all the intimate moments on camera and these memories will last us a lifetime. The day goes by so fast, we wish we could go back and do it all over again but having these images means we are able to relive it every time we look at them. Thank you Celynnen Photography!
