We can’t help but smile every time we remember the fantastic wedding of Katherine and Jason, at the very stately Soughton Hall near Chester, back in 2017. It was most definitely a day filled with happiness, love and joy!
Christian Dior famously said “Happiness is the secret to all beauty..” … and every time we look back at the gorgeous shots we got from that day, we know exactly what he meant! The happy couple and their families filled the whole venue with such warmth and beauty from floor to ceiling – no small feat when you see just how high those Soughton Hall ceilings are!
Katherine made the most elegant bride and Jason was so effortlessly cool, and on their very special day, there were times it felt like Soughton Hall was made just for them. They were so easy-going, with sparkling smiles that were just joyous to shoot :)
Their guests were also absolutely brilliant! Katherine is half Welsh, half Ghanaian; Jason is half Indian, half Irish – so you can imagine the blast we had watching all the different cultures and backgrounds come together to make the most wonderfully unique and personal day! The ceremony, reception and evening dancing all contained little touches and nods to each culture, and we made sure we captured each memory in beautiful photos for them to treasure.
Soughton Hall itself is a very happy place for us. We’ve been shooting there since 2008 – over ten years now – so we know it inside out. We have lots of special tricks up our sleeves to really make the most of the unique building, to make it really “pop” in the background of our beautiful couples and their guests!
