It's not every day that you get to cover a wedding surrounded by familiar faces in like we did when Alex and Laura asked Celynnen Photography to be their wedding photographer at Thornton Manor! Alex and I used to play baseball (you read that right!) for the Halton Jaguars and we even made it to the National Finals!
So here's a rare picture of Alex and myself when we were young and handsome and slim! Can you guess which one I am?
It was our first wedding at Thornton Manor and it was a fantastic wedding day! The sun was shining and everyone was so lovely! We had a great and clearly felt right at home and so took lots of lovely wedding pictures!
Both Alex and Laura were clearly more articulate about the whole day, I speak in pictures, so have a look at how they felt about the day and remember to scroll down for a list of their suppliers! (But remember, if you're looking for a wedding photographer, contact Celynnen Photography and if you're looking for PHOTOBOOTHS, check out Lovely Booths!
I woke up on the morning to my best friend saying happy wedding day, I’d been waiting for this day for so long even before we started planning it. I thought I would be nervous but I was more excited the whole morning, as me and my bridesmaids started to get ready my mum, Dad and mother in law popped round at different times to check on us all. Everyone got there flowers on and bouquets ready, they were perfect, everything I have imagined they would look like. Before I knew it, the car was here to take me and my dad down, I got a little nervous then but it passed pretty quickly. Charleen (videographer) was like my extra bridesmaid for me, sorting my hair and checking my dress before everything she was amazing. As we turned up Ioan was there ready to take the amazing photos we have now seen, wouldn’t of had anyone else to do the photography, all came out perfect. We both had our perfect wedding that we could of wished for, all our family and friends are still talking about it now and hopefully will forever cause I will.
I couldn't sleep, I wasn't nervous in the slightest but I had to share a room with my best man, Carl. He didn't stop snoring all night and so I probably got about 5 hours sleep. My morning was relaxed with my Mum, Dad, Gran & best man all sharing breakfast with me before getting ready. The groomsmen all arrived at 10:00 and we got suited and sipped whiskey to calm their nerves.
The day flew by, everybody warned us it would. You try and get around to everyone but you only find time to say a few words to each guest. We spent 18 months preparing and planning for our special day, we knew every single details of how it would look in our minds and to watch all our amazing suppliers work together to put our vision into place was simply amazing.
The forecast was for rain but not a single drop fell, it was the hottest day of the year so far.
Our ceremony was short and sweet, but the range of emotions captured by Ioan are breathtaking.
Charlene our amazing videographer from Love gets sweeter was recommended to us by Ioan, they worked perfectly together providing us with guidance, reassurance and capturing the day perfectly with the most amazing video & photographs.
We actually checked whether Ioan was available before we booked our wedding date, it was simply that important to us that Ioan was available to capture our day.
