One day as I was walking in Chester and the call came: “Hi! It’s Jo. You did Alun and Mel‘s wedding in Portmeirion” I knew EXACTLY who it was and to say I was excited doesn’t really begin to describe it! Being a professional wedding photographer is an honour in itself. You are called upon to capture some of the most precious moments in a person’s life and besides the fact that they need to believe in your talent, to put it bluntly, they also need to be happy with you being around. Besides Alun and Mel’s wedding, I also saw some of the guests at Nicole and Phil’s wedding as well as Jo and Ed themselves at Pam and Ian‘s wedding! Such a great bunch of friends, It really touches me by the fact that they keep inviting me!

This time, we were far away from Chester though and all the way down to the beautiful village of Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire where the ceremony was held at St-Mary’s Church, which was one of the friendliest and most welcoming churches I’ve worked in throughout my career and we thank them very much for making us feel at home and making the ceremony so special!

The party then really kicked off at the Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire. After the standard group pictures, the bride and groom started getting involved in a series of “different” group shots, but that’s one of the reason I like them so much: it represents this group. It’s not something we do for everyone and that’s really important to us at Celynnen Photography: we don’t have a “cookie-cutter” approach to wedding photography.

The dress was amazing, the bride and groom looked great, the speeches were memorable (and personal which is important..) and the first dance as gracious as I’ve ever seen one. Thank you so much for having me on your big day and may we be able to capture many other of your special moments.
