On the longest day of the year we are looking back on the pre wedding shoot we did for Katharine and Mark which was at Lyme Park, a glorious National Trust property on the edge of the Peak District.

Lyme Park is located in Disley, Stockport and is a beautiful house, gardens, deer park & moody moorland which resulted in some exceptional pictures.  We had a fantastic time on the pre wedding shoot, we were keen to combine the moodiness of the moorland with the stark outline of the historic house.

Mark & Katharine were great fun and really easy to photograph, Mark had us laughing at his Liam Gallagher impression, sadly we didn’t get this on film…We were really able to get to know them and we now have plenty of ideas for the wedding day.  Pre wedding shoots are so important as we can learn so much about the couple and what they want to achieve from their photography, on their wedding day.

The lovely couple are getting married at Rookery Hall, a venue we know very well as we did our first ever bridal shoot there 8 years ago.

This photograph captures the contrast of the grey sky and moorland, this photograph looks great in both colour and black & white.

Handpicked Hotels have some stunning venues; we have done wedding shoots at Seiont Manor, Rhinefield House & Wood Hall.  Rookery Hall in Nantwich is such a romantic venue, the beautiful gardens and grounds are going to be a perfect back drop for us to photograph Mark & Katharine on their special day.
