Tuesday and Tim at Etrop Grange
Our last wedding in Manchester of 2017: One off the bucket list!
Some photographers have these "bucket lists" of "dream weddings". Usually it's something to do with tipis weddins (google our friends Event in a Tent!), Destination Weddings (we've got a great wedding in Portugal to show you soon!), you know that kind of stuff..
For me it's a bit simpler:
Shoot the wedding of one of my students and shoot the wedding of one of the children of one of my couples! :)
Well, ONE TICK BOX TICKED!
The other day I had the immense please and honor to capture Tuesday and Tim's wedding at Etrop Grange Hotel! I knew Tuesday from her high school days and was so excited when they booked me! The ceremony was at the beautiful Rostherne Church in Cheshire. A lot of people ask us about church weddings and not only do we do a lot but also the Vicars and Priest tend to appreciate our work as we stay out of the way and our cameras are SILENT! Not quiet, actually silent! Check out this blog post for info.. Tuseday looked gorgeous in her Maggie Sottero dress, bought at our friends Aristocrats in Chester. As you'll see in the pictures, I think Tim agreed! :)

"Having been friends with Ioan for very many years, it was an easy choice as to who I would ask to shoot my wedding. I have been an avid fan of his for as long as I can remember, admiring all the beautiful brides he has photographed. But nothing, NOTHING, could prepare me for how spectacular my photos are! Don't get me wrong, I felt fantastic on the day, but these images are just beyond belief! To make someone feel innately beautiful, not just when you are photographing them, but to immortalise that feeling in the form of an image, is nothing short of genius!
The wedding day was just everything I had ever hoped for. From the overwhelming nerves and excitement getting ready in the morning; to taking the final deep breath before I stepped into church; to the never-ending smile plastered on my face walking out together as husband and wife, everything felt just perfect. It was amazing, having the people I love most around me, celebrating with me, enjoying the beautiful experience alongside me. Plus having Ioan teach me to 'block hug', singing with us during the church service and keeping our guests smiling, even when we were outside - in December - really made our day!
Honestly, I dreaded the outdoor photography. Previous weddings informed me that I would be freezing half to death whilst being commanded to "smile" and expected to hold an unnatural grin whilst we waited for the thousandth staged photo to be taken. However, I loved every minute of being outside! Ioan had me laughing the whole time - like, REALLY laughing!
Everything flowed naturally, cheerfully on. Ioan and Jess seemed to be everywhere, all at once. Not a single detail was missed. My guests loved the opportunity to have their photos taken in their own groups and how dare they all look so gorgeous! Before I knew it, it was time to say goodbye to Ioan and Jess and enjoy (the only reason most people actually go to weddings) the dancing!
There were so many little things I missed on the day - my husband getting ready, my friends laughing together at the church, the look on my Mother-In-Law's face when we were saying our vows. But, Ioan and Jess worked tirelessly to give us this perfect montage. And, these beautiful images will forever to remind me of all those tiny moments that made up the very best day of my life.
